International Contemporary and Video Art festival “Waterpieces” exists from Year 2001. Festival “Waterpieces” is one of the key annual events for moving image and digital arts culture in Latvia, celebrating the intersection of film and music, and bringing a wide spectrum of the best local and international animation, video and installation art to its audience.
From August 19 – 21, the floating art centre “NOASS” and AB Dam park will change into a colourful video island, where everyone will be invited to see several open-air video shows, and audio-visual performances by Latvian and international artists. The festival will offer an opportunity to see artist-made interactive installations and take part in workshops for children and adults, presenting festival audience with the technical and artistic diversity of moving images.
