Geometry of Creation: Analysis of Anti-Rhythmic Structures
Platform 101 Presents Vol. 04 - 'Geometry of Creation: Analysis of Anti-Rhythmic Structures'
Tehran, Iran – Platform 101 is thrilled to announce its upcoming exhibition, Vol. 04: 'Geometry of Creation: Analysis of Anti-Rhythmic Structures,' set to take place at E1 Art Gallery in Tehran from September 27 to October 11, 2024. This international video art group exhibition features an impressive lineup of 44 artists, including 23 Iranian talents and 21 international contributors from 12 different countries, showcasing the rich tapestry of global digital artistry.
Founded in 2018, Platform 101 is an independent, non-profit artistic institution committed to nurturing and promoting emerging digital artists in Iran. With a focus on creating a robust foundation for digital art in the country, Platform 101 continually strives to elevate Iranian digital art on a global scale, specifically through the lens of black-and-white works.
The exhibition is curated by Mohammad Ali Famori and Ramin Saeidian. Mohammad Ali Famori, a multidisciplinary artist and founder of Platform 101, has made significant contributions to Iran’s digital arts scene, including pioneering the country's first glitch video art group exhibition. Famori's 2019 'Glitch: Pixel Language' manifesto further cemented his influence in contemporary digital art.Ramin Saeidian is a prominent art researcher and independent curator, known for his work in visual semiotics and modern theoretical studies of visual texts. In 2016, he established the Art Research Center in Tehran, where he explores visual and conceptual arts while curating impactful exhibitions.
In 'Geometry of Creation,' the curators analyze anti-rhythmic structures, examining the complex relationship between order and chaos in existence. While nature and mathematics often reflect rhythmic patterns of harmony, glitches in fractal geometry expose a chaotic beauty that persists along its fractal path. The exhibition aims to reveal semantic and aesthetic interpretations of disintegration, discontinuity, and destruction within geometric order, as articulated in the Glitch Manifesto of Pixel Language.
Challenging conventional notions of rhythm in art, the exhibition emphasizes the beauty of asymmetry and deviation. The intricate geometry of fractal fractions, with their infinite complexity and self-similar patterns, invites a re-evaluation of how irregular shapes interact with traditional geometric forms, transforming our understanding of creation.
Additionally, the unexpected, non-linear nature of anti-rhythmic elements encourages a deeper contemplation of reality and existence. This exploration highlights the vital role of anti-rhythmic structures in the dynamic interplay of life, embodying movement and transformation within fractal design.
'Geometry of Creation: Analysis of Anti-Rhythmic Structures' promises to be an engaging exploration of contemporary video art that highlights both Iranian and international perspectives. The exhibition is set to open on September 27 and will run until October 11, 2024. Art enthusiasts and the general public are warmly invited to join this thought-provoking journey at E1 Art Gallery in Tehran Iran.
