Hayriye Koç Başara (Turkey) Hayriye Koc Basara is an academician at Sakarya University, with a PHD/ Art Qualification in Painting Department from Hacettepe University and MA from Mimar Sinan Fine Art University in Istanbul. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions/screenings and published articles and three presentation in several conferences.
As well as painting, Hayriye is recently practicing on mixed media, video art, interactive performance art and art theories. She is interested in interdisciplinary research on between contemporary art theory-philosophy and its application with different mediums like Performance (or methods of potential performance) of socially engaged practices at the same process. She is also interested in the concept of paradox (unlikely combination of contrasts or the possibility that a combination of contrasts at the same time in art and life)
