SIGHT

Mr.&Mrs.Gray are Jeroen van der Linde en Carmen Hutting. They work and live together in Den Haag, the Netherlands. Their work is about possibilities, chances and new adventures often to be found in the smallest and most trivial things. They do not believe in complaining and despairing over everything that's wrong, but in focussing on what there is to work with and figure out how to turn it into something better.
Mr.&Mrs.Gray use different techniques from performances and movies to objects and collages to share their ideas with the world. Their current obsession is constructing life-sized paper boats from old magazines and cardboard boxes which can actually float.
Both Jeroen and Carmen attended the Willem the Kooning academy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and graduated with honours at the MFA Interactive Media & Environments at the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Mr.&Mrs.Gray have exhibited and participated in various events from the Netherlands, to France and Japan. Their Paperboat project has amongst others been showcased during the International Streaming Festival and at Border Sessions, at the Crossing Border festival in Den Haag, the Netherlands.
In addition to their career as artists, Mr.&Mrs.Gray have been working as lecturers at the Willem the Kooning academy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, l'Ecole Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Strasbourg, France and the Fotovakschool in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
