Statement:
I am interested in concepts which are known and natural, but undesirable and inconvenient, pushed on the margin of what is acceptable in our society. I examine the processes and reactions taking place in our daily lives, which are a representation of relations between an external- and an internal-self of an individual, as well as a way of their rooting in our minds. I collect information about the internal products of a human psyche from the imprinted contents of experience, which activate the conscious and unconscious content and schemes of a human functioning. Disease and its metaphors preoccupy the most part of my considerations- as a temporary or permanent state affecting each person. I endeavour to provoke a change of our perception of disease, often perceived by the society as evil. I also strive to undermine the moralistic approach to symmetry in our relationships, which suggests that disease is a punishment. Health is a basic value in a society and its lack redirects to a world of different demands and realities, inducing the change of perception and as well as the change of the rhythm of thinking. I treat disease both as a danger signal as well as an objective step into the phase of a life endangerment. As far as my creative process is concerned, one of the most important aspects is technology. Realizing, however, that technology and media are seen as secondary and unnecessary form of expression in contemporary art, each time I am searching for unique and innovative tools necessary for my realizations. In a today's world full of surfeit and omnipresent haste, I let myself take time and extend this search process, focusing on the addressee from whom I collect reactions.
